Why don't i enable the Rapid recompile option?

My Quartus II version is 12.1+sp1. I was educated i can use Rapid recompile, but as attached shows, i can't. The selection is gray which can't let me to enable it!

    I thought the old Rapid Recompile was disabled, and a new version was introduced in Q13.0/13.1(?) and improved in Q14.0. It's not a .qsf setting like this but an actual flow, i.e. you would go to the top tool-bar and Start Rapid Recompile.

    A lot of work has and will continue to be put into this flow to make it effective. I actually recommend anyone in Q14.0 with a large design to give it a try.

    Thanks for you reply, however, I can't update to new QII version, for i'm using old device, i.e. ArriaGX.

    I think it may have been discontinued, as most people weren't using it and it didn't provide the benefits hoped for, as well as the new version was being unrolled.
