web edition 11.0 sp 1 Quartus and modelsim altera

Question

I'm using Windows 7 64 bit OS.

Just downloaded web edition of quartus and modelsim. As soon as I tried to simulate a simple "andgate" project I got the warning

Error: Can't launch the ModelSim-Altera software -- the path to the location of the executables for the ModelSim-Altera software were not specified or the executables were not found at specified path.

So I went to tools-> options->edatooloptions to check the path for modelsim.exe and it is there.

I clicked on modelsim.exe and it will launch modelsim.

I went to assignments->settings->edatoolsettings->simulation and it shows modelsim-altera as the simulator.

Is there anyother file I can modify to fix this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated...

what path do you have set in the EDA Tool Options menu?  as i recall its supposed to be the directory containing vsim.exe

The following path in my machine contains both vsim.exe and modelsim.exe

C:\altera\11.0\modelsim_ase\win32aloem\modelsim.exe

My fault, this is what I had for a path, once I took out the "modelsim.exe" everything worked just fine. :)
