New ContributorHello, when I was simulating on Quartus Prime Lite, my project required using VWF to simulate waveforms, but I received an error vsim-12110. I have also searched for solutions, but the solutions suggest removing the -novopt text. However, when I used it, the simulation worked but produced a bad result where the output equals the input, which prevents me from simulating. Additionally, all the solutions from the forums have been ineffective.

Unfortunately, the VWF simulation tool is a legacy feature used in Quartus Lite/Standard editions, and there are no plans to fix issues related to it.
If it works for your design, then you're in good shape.
If not, I recommend simulating using the Questa Altera FPGA Starter Edition simulator tool. I tested your design in Questa, and the waveform was correctly reflected.
Additionally, you can use the NativeLink Simulation to automatically compile your design, Intel IP, simulation model libraries and testbench.
