Using Quartus debugging tools when Stratix is second in the JTAG chain.

My JTAG chain consists of MAX5 CPLD followed by Stratix V. I get error loading elf file when I use either NIOS debugger or cannot find master when I use console. Is there special parameters that have to be set in order to use debugger and console?

    Yes, the debugger / nios2 elf downloader use the -d parameter to choose which device to use in the chain. As for systemconsole you should enumerate all the masters and find the right name to connect to.
