USB blaster not showing up

Question

I have tried everything I can think of and all other suggestions kindly shared in this forum. This is my situation:

win7 pro 64-bit.

Previously ran Quartus 10.1 on this machine, without problems

Now uninstalled 10.1 and installed 11.0, just says "no hardware" when I open up the programmer

Drivers for USB-blaster installs fine (from win update), no error messages and visible in the device manager ("Altera USB-blaster")

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling quartus 11.0, no change.

I have tried running quartus as administrator, no change.

What more can I check? Anything you can think of might be helpful, thanks!

I think there is some problem with the drivers in Quartus 11.0. It's not working on Win 7 64-bit as well as Windows Vista 64-bit.
