update mif.too much time!!

hello all!.my cuestion is about the mif update process and why spend to quartus more time than full compilation ,include with only with a litle MIF file.

    Are you asking why it takes so long to recompile when all you have changed is a MIF file?

    If yes, then try enabling the "Use smart compilation" option under Settings->Compilation Process Settings.

    full compilation tkes me 18 minutes and MIF update 20 min with fast fit and 4 cores.

    Yeah that's odd. Have you tried running it from the command-line to see if there is any difference (or if it gives more information)?
