unity gain FFT IFFT pair

I want to make a unity gain FFT IFFT pair. I've learnd about the scaling, but i can not properly understand it :( However, i've found out the example (given by altera) of IFFT FFT pair. Can the same scaling function be used for an FFT IFFT pair?

If not, why and what should be changed?
