There is compatibility between connector fmc alters and xilinx?

Hello I intend to use the AD9361 with FMC connector (Xilinx) in an ALTERA development kit. I would like to know if the compatibility between both fmc connectors used by both companies.

In forums it was commented that they are compatible however the hdl used is different, does this information confers?

    Hi GOliv5,

    Apologize that we do not carry out the test internally thus i am not able to advise you. To see compatibility, first of all, you will need to determine whether the pin is compatible (I/O Standard, pin direction) for both FMC connector on development kit and daughter card. Then, you will need to determine if the IP, provided by the device, is supporting the third party daughter card, if it is not, then you might need to write your own HDL (verilog/VHDL) for that.
