Honored ContributorSubjective . . . if there is a particular reason is not so subjective.
Anyway, I had everything up and running with the 15.0 so I saw no point to downgrade to 14.1. Plus the 15.0 implements new interesting features (https://www.altera.com/en_us/pdfs/literature/rn/rn_aocl.pdf).
