Stratix V Partial Reconfiguration

Hi all,

Has anyone tried implementing the Stratix V Transceivers with the intention of doing a partial reconfiguration to modify the data rates?

I have tried compiling several designs with different data rates and comparing the generated .mif files and they are identical. This tells me that the data rate information is not present and that the .mif is simply a default.

In researching this feature, I have found numerous references to it being a future release item. I have Quartus II ver 12.0-SP1. I also note that the "Generate GXB Reconfig MIF" option in the fitter settings is not present for Stratix V, but is present for Stratix IV.

My bottom line question is how have you overcome this? Or, are you waiting for the next release?
