SOPC Builder - CPU Generator doesn't run?

Trying to follow the hardware tutorial example to re-create the 'standard' configuration for a Cyclone-II board. I get this: Altera SOPC Builder Version 7.00 Build 33 Copyright (c) 1999-2006 ...

Well, 18 months have passed and still no joy. I have two laptops here that both run 7.0, 7.1, 7.2sp2. But I installed 8.1 otnight and still the same problem persists:
