Simulation Question

I'm a student who is learning how to use Quartus II with the 11.1 web edition. Our teacher had an old tutorial guide that used vector waveform editor which I guess has been taken out of this edition and replaced with the TimeQuest Timing Analysis tool. I understand everything up until the part where I have to setup for the simulation of my circuit. It's a simple circuit:

f=x1x2 + x2'x3

I have gone through the new tutorials but they seem to require a clock setup. Using the old example which is supposed to run from 0-160ns I tried setting up the inputs with the TimeQuest Timing Analysis Wizard but I must be doing something wrong because it doesn't seem to print out the results I want. I am looking for some document that basically covered the differences and similarities between setting up the simulation in the waveform editor and the new TimeQuest Timing Analysis. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Try using modelsim. They have a student edition that is free to download and a tutorial on how to use the basic features right on the website. The old simulation packages are still on older versions of quartus if you can find one (maybe 8.1)

    My adivce is to use modelsim. it's pretty straight forward.

    The other thing you could use is signal tap which is within quartus. The only problem with that is that you have to recompile the design every time you make changes.

    hope that helps

    by the way modelsim is from Mentor Graphics.
