Simulation Question

I'm a student who is learning how to use Quartus II with the 11.1 web edition. Our teacher had an old tutorial guide that used vector waveform editor which I guess has been taken out of this edition...

Try using modelsim. They have a student edition that is free to download and a tutorial on how to use the basic features right on the website. The old simulation packages are still on older versions of quartus if you can find one (maybe 8.1)

My adivce is to use modelsim. it's pretty straight forward.

The other thing you could use is signal tap which is within quartus. The only problem with that is that you have to recompile the design every time you make changes.
