15 years agoSignal Tap II broke in 10.0
I have submitted two service requests regarding Quartus 10.0 and Signal Tap but thought I would also post here to save someone else from figuring this out on their own.
I have an stp file with sever nodes listed. On the setup page I have some with the Data Enable unchecked and some with. This allows me to add and subtract nodes between compiles to manage storage memory without having to re-find nodes in my design. this worked fine in 9.0 SP2. I just upgraded to 10.0 and the stp file would not allow me to modify the Trigger Conditions for any signal whether Data Enable was checked or unchecked. Through trial and error I discovered the issue was that if any signal has Data Enable unchecked then no signal could be used for a Trigger Condition. Also, I discovered that in 10.0 the only Chart display format that works is Unsigned Bar Chart. The other three Chart type display formats don't work.
