Sending a Signal from DE2 board to BNC male

I am trying to send an STD_LOGIC signal from a DE2 board to a detector that requires input pulse gating via BNC ports.

Is there any recommended method to do so with this board? I am thinking that I should either be using a VGA to BNC male adapter or a USB to BNC male adapter, but I'm not sure which is better or if either will work at all for what I am trying to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can probably get a cable that goes from the coax connector (SMA?) on the DE2 board to a BNC.

Oh okay, that could possibly work. But the SMA is the external clock input, would it even work to program its pin as an output and use it that way?

I was refering to the SMA for clock output. It's right above the one for external clock input.

I am not using the DE2-115. I have the older legacy DE2 board, which only the external clock input.
