14 years ago --- Quote Start --- I took a quick glance at WineHD, but didn't read all about it. What is this app? --- Quote End --- winehq.org/about/ --- Quote Start --- How does it help with running Quartus? --- Quote End --- Wine will run many Windows programs. --- Quote Start --- Did this fix the problem of using the Altera programmer and Signaltap features with the USB-Blaster? --- Quote End --- I don't know. I am quite new to Altera stuff. --- Quote Start --- Were there special steps in setting this up to work properly? --- Quote End --- I had an installation disk. I mounted the CD, opened up Terminal, navigated to the directory containing the installation file (optional), and entered wine <program name>. I obviously didn't use "<program name>". After the installation was complete with all default settings, I am now able to use Quartis with the following Terminal command: wine ~/.wine/drive_c/altera/71/quartus/bin/quartus.exe I went farther by making an alias for this command so that I can just type in quartis to run the program. --- Quote Start --- Is this letting Quartus run native in the MAC OS or is this the VMware and Windows version? --- Quote End --- Native. :)
