Running Quartus on an Apple Mac

I had an installation disk. I mounted the CD, opened up Terminal, navigated to the directory containing the installation file (optional), and entered wine <program name>. I obviously didn't use "<program name>". After the installation was complete with all default settings, I am now able to use Quartis with the following Terminal command:

wine ~/.wine/drive_c/altera/71/quartus/bin/quartus.exe

I went farther by making an alias for this command so that I can just type in quartis to run the program.

Is this letting Quartus run native in the MAC OS or is this the VMware and Windows version?
