Question on dependency of memory updating and Fitting process

Hi all,

I have a system consisting of NIOSII processor and FPGA logic. NIOSII processor runs the code from internal BlockRAM. Whenever I choose Processing->Update Memory Initialization File, all of my compilation processes go "outdated"... i.e i have to run full compilation again to get updated sof image.

I don't understand why we have to do analysis and fitting again just because of updating the blockRAM init file!

According to this

http://quartushelp.altera.com/9.1/mergedprojects/design/med/med_com_update_mif.htm

We need to run only assembler again. But in my case, everything went outdated and I need to run analysis, fitting all over again.

Anyone has the same problem or is it just me?

Really appreciate some answer 'coz I experience this problem since verion 8.0 9.0 and now latest 10.1...
