Quartus Prime v15.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS - No devices available in New Project Wizard

I've installed Quartus Prime v15.1 using the complete installer, which appears to include device installation. However, no devices are showing up in the New Project Wizard. $ ll /opt/altera/1...

I figured it out. I had to add executable permissions to nearly all of the files under the <quartus installation>/quartus/common directory.
