quartus prime fixed license expiration

Hi,

It is not clear to me what is the fixed license expiration date of Quartus Prime Standard edition. After the 1 year timeframe, is the software usable but without updates, or it stops working and needs renewal?

For modelsim altera version the quote was more clear...

    After the 1 year timeframe, it will stop working and need renewal. Usually all that stops working is the bit file generation.

    Thanks for the tip! I thought it might have been different case than Modelsim , because for the latter what you said is mentioned explicitly in Altera's 'software installation and licensing' document
