10 years agoI'm new to Altera/Quartus and this site, so apologies if I've done this wrong....
Hi Tim, I'm not sure if you got anywhere with Altera on this, but I have had the same problem on my high-Res screen, on my windows 8.1 laptop, and found a workaround. Like you, I tried dropping the resolution of the screen, with no success. Then I remembered I had a similar problem when installing MS Office, and the same solution worked. When you drop the resolution, you have to restart windows, for the change to have an effect on some programs. This is the case with Quartus. It's not ideal, as it means restarting windows before and after using Quartus, to make best use of the high-res screen for other applications. But it does seem to work. I found 1920 x 1080 is low enough to make it usable. I hope this helps, at least until Altera update Quartus to support high-res monitors. Regards, Chelle
