Quartus II/vwf won't simulate

I'm running Quartus II 13.0 sp1 on windows 7 and running into a simulation problem. I create and compile a verilog file, create a vector waveform file and import the nodes and attempt to simulate. The modelsim window flashes on the screen and then nothing happens. I have installed the same program on my laptop and there are no issues with the simulation. If anyone has any idea how to solve this, it would be very helpful.
