Quartus II v11 running through X server on Windows

Problem: The meg-wizard plugin for DDR3 or PCIe when selected opens a pop-up window however window appears to be blank no menu buttons. Basically seems like the window has frozen. Though we can continue working on quartus.

We have quartus installed on a remote linux machine. And we use ssh -Y to connect to the linux box from a windows machine and this is when we get the above problem.

However, when we connect to the same linux box from a MAC mega-wizard works fine.

Any feedback on this will be helpful.
