Quartus hangs on startup after 9.1 sp1 install

I've had quartus 9.1 work fine on my Ubuntu Linux system for a while now. I finally decided to install sp1 to bring it up to date. Now, when I start quartus it just hangs with a blank window. ...

I have the same problem on my Ubuntu 9.10, and it's defiantly a MainWin problem. Using the QGUI isn't a good idea, because it gives you the lite version (web edition) GUI. However I figured out a solution, you just replace the "mw" (or "mw64") directory in quartus 9.1sp2 with the "mw" (or "mw64") directory in quartus 9.1. Then you can using 9.1sp2 with the ugly 9.1 MainWin GUI.

I really like the QT GUI, so hope they finish the beta ASAP.
