Quartus and Nios EDS V9.0 SP2 upgrade

Hi everyone

I previously installed Quartus II web edition version 9.0 no service pack with Nios EDS v9.0.

I downloaded service pack 2 for Nios, because I need some features not available in the original version.

Is installing service pack 2 for Quartus mandatory or I can keep using my current version?

In case I want to upgrade to SP2, should I download the complete software package (about 1.3GB) or is a smaller upgrade patch available?

    The quartus web edition is always a complete installation.

    Quartus Web 9.1SP1 will install into c:\altera\91sp1 whereas the subcription edition has a sp1 that installs over the 9.1 so after sp1 the quartus still is under folder 91

    the nios eds sp1 will install over the existing 91 nios eds installation.

    well that is me experience with 9.1 & Sp1 should / could be the same with 9.0
