The splash screen displays, and quartus.exe shows in task manager, but that is all.
The Quartus programmer executable runs successfully. Environmental variables look all right i.e. C:\altera\15.0\... OS is Win 7. - Altera_Forum

Do you have any Quartus II installed? Did other quartus face the same problem? It would be better that you attached the screenshot here

Hi,
Probably you might want to try uninstall and reinstall the Quartus II 15.0 just in case there is any issue with the previous installation. Alternatively, you could also try installing other Quartus II version ie 14.1, 13.1 to see if same issue exists. - Altera_Forum

Yes. It worked. I deleted file quartus2.qreg and the folder .altera.quartus and she strung to life. quartus2.qreg looks as if it keeps a detailed history of past quartus usage, almost scary in its detail.

I use Quartus 15.0. I have the project with PCIe-core in Qsys. This project normal compile and run in Quartus v.14.x, but when I compile this project in Quartus 15.0 I have the error: "272006 LPM_WIDTHU parameter has been set to illegal value 4, but should be set to value 5". This problem with scfifo in file altpciexpav_stif_cr_rp.v. This file making Quartus from my Qsys project. The same error I see in any sample project from Altera website with PCIe-core.
Have anybody same problem? - Altera_Forum

Would someone kindly report this issue to Altera. They refuse to receive my service request because I am currently without a company email address.
