Some good news, after getting the altera rep in, giving me 2 hours tuition on the new NIOS 10 IDE, it is finally working; but what a convoluted way of doing things, I shall have to read through the notes as I have in order for me to see if I can get some of the older workspaces back and functional.

If you chaps still have issues, get your rep out, and they will happily get stuff going for you.

Altera have fiddled about with this in a MAJOR way, so even seasoned programmers will struggle.
