Powerplay Power Analysis

Hi! I'm new to FPGA programming and me and my classmates are trying to analyze different adders in Quartus II. We cannot really obtain any good results in the power analyzer because we are trying to learn the software on our own. We read different articles/tutorials/threads about the software but still no good. Can anybody help us or give us any tutorial/direction on how to do this. Thank You. It would be a very big help.
