Pin assignments

I have a bdf schematic and im trying to assign my I/O pins to the DE2 board. I go right-click-> locate-> locate in assignment editor, but then it seems my assignment editor is empty!... please hel...

run through Analysis and Elaboration then use the Pin Planner. the Assignment Editor should be empty unless you've already made assignments
