OpenCL SDK Questions about Terasic DE5 Board?

Hi,

We got a Terasic DE5 board through the Altera University Program for OpenCL development.

We follow the following steps. First, Connect the board to the x8-slot motherboard; Second, Connect the PCIe external power conncetor to 6-pin 12V DC; Third, Power on the computer which has installed the corresponding OPenCL SDK13.0 and Quartus II 13.0 (64-bit).

Here are 2 questions:

1, the device manager in the Win7 does not include any new PCIE device, except the "Jungo"?

2, After I successfully download the aocx file (provided by Terasic) into the board, the computer crashes. Why? Does any special request exist for Visual Studio2012 (I only installed it)

Thanks.

One more question: After connect Terasic DE5 to the x8-slot motherboard, one new uninstalled device should appear in the "Device Manager" when no corresponding driver is installed?

If your system runs on Windows 7, you might receive the following message during

    board driver installation:

    difx_install_preinstall_inf: err a, last event 0, last error 0.

    ERROR_BAD_ENVIRONMENT

If you receive the above message and the Jungo WinDriver does not appear in the

Windows Device Manager, you must reinstall the Jungo WinDriver by inserting

the -compat option to the wdreg commands in install.bat, as shown below:

    wdreg -compat -inf windrvr6.inf install

    wdreg -compat -inf acl_boards.inf install

    access install.bat at

    %ALTERAOCLSDKROOT%\board\terasic\de5net\windows64\driver.
