"Null" Symbols

How do you create a "null" (empty) symbol, ie, one with connectivity but nothing inside? This would be useful for building a hierarchy without having to fill everything in. I've tried a schematic with just connectors ("Pin xxx not connected") and a block ("unelaborated ...").
