No Quartus simulator for Stratix IV?

It has been a few years since I have personally used Quartus but I have a couple guys working for me that just finished a design using a Stratix III device and Quartus (I think 9.0?). They were able to use the simulator within Quartus and edit the waveforms graphically, etc. Everything was contained within Quartus and for small/medium designs the simulator worked well.

Now they are telling me that for Stratix IV devices even with the latest version of Quartus everyone will be required to use Modelsim for timing diagrams, etc. Is this true and if so does anyone have an opinion on the best way to so this? Order the full blown version of Modelsim? We were very happy with the waveform editing and simulation capabilities of Quartus...not sure how hard the whole Modelsim thing will be, not even sure if it has graphical editing capabilities?

Any input is appreciated.

Regards, Mohave

The simulator, in general, is going away is what I've heard. Nothing specific to SIV AFAIK.
