Nios II SBT Crashing on Linux
The following workaround seems to work, it essentially replace Quartus included java engine with Java 8
cd ..../intelFPGA/20.1/quartus/linux64
mv jre64 jre64_old
ln -s /lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64/jre jre64the path to Java 8 jre might be machine specific, mine is at least placed there
Hi Felipe,
I'm glad to read version 19.1 is running without any issue.
Once again thank you for contacting us, I'll keep debugging the initial issue so we can fix it in future versions.

This solves the "free():Invalid pointer" error for the Nios II SBT, but the plataform designer started to have problems with some java classes.
Also, Stephane solution seems to solve the GTK warnings at the eclipse launch.
@Eliath_G_Intel, is there any update about it?
Thanks,Felipe Plech

Hi everyone and @Eliath_G_Intel ,
I found a solution :
run in konsole:
export SWT_GTK3=0
export SWT_WEBKIT2=1
./eclipse-nios2and GUI will be launched correctly
