More info about the message/warning generated by Quartus.

In Quartus II there is in the menù help the message list of the whole message generated by the tool chain.

Does exist a document that collects the warning and error generated by Quartus and ordered by categories (severity of the warnings) and which part of the tool chain generate the message ?

ie. ID: xxxxxx = Warning -> Analysis and Synthesis

ID: yyyyyy = Warning Critical -> Timing analysis

    I used to copy the error, strip the file names and line numbers an then search the Altera forum and when no results were available I'd ask. Do you have a specific error message you want to know about?

    No, I am not looking for a specific error, the reason of my question

    is the following :

    I would like to create a list of warnings classified by severity that

    allow to the "Verifier" of a project inside our organization,

    to evaluate the quality of a design analysing the report log

    of the Q-II tool chain.

    That it can be one of the step of the verification process.

    What you can do is to filter and save manually all those messages in the GUI message console. There is no single button in the tool to extract them. If would like to automate it for every compilation, you have to develop a TCL script to extract from compilation reports .rpt.
