Modelsim Altera

Hello

Im running Windows XP SP3 in a VM under MacOSX. Now I have downloaded quartus 12.0 with modelsim altera and tried to run Modelsim. But only the start screen apears which says modelsim altera Starter Edition 10.0d. And the the screen disapears and the modelsim Process ended without giving any message.

Starting it in the terminal gives also no response.

At this point I also tried to reinstall Quartus...and setup the whole OS again but allways with the same result.

Does any body knows what went wrong

    Are you referring to the

    Modelsim ALTERA Edition

    or

    Modelsim ALTERA Starter Edition?

    In the former case: Do you've a valid license file? Is the MGLS_LICENSE_FILE environment variable set correctly (for example "C:\license.txt")?

    Hello,

    no I'm talking about the "modelsim altera Starter Edition 10.0d" as I wrote, this is Also what I see when I tried to start.

    I'm having the same problem. Does anybody has an idea how to fix it?

    I have Windows Vista and this problem appears, too. I think that the problem is Windows Vista :(
