ModelSim Altera Web Edition License in Linux died on Jan 1

Help, I was using Quartus II web edition with the included ModelSim happily all last month, and then the new year rolled around, and it just stopped working. It's now complaining about license ...

Huh,

It seems that it's not really about the date. A second computer seems to have survived just fine as well. I'm re-installing for a third time. Anybody know of any other places besides the install directory (~/altera by default) that i should clean up to make a completely clean install?
