Modelsim-Altera Simulation Error: Memory Allocation Failure

Hello everyone, I am trying to run the gate level simulation for some VHDL code. I could run RTL simulation successfully. But I always get "Memory Allocation Failure" for gate level simulation....

I have no idea why it would crash. However, faced with the same issue, I would try another version of Modelsim-ASE, and also the full version of Modelsim-SE.

You could probably download the matching version of Modelsim-SE for evaluation from the Mentor site.

Do not start with the "latest" version of Modelsim-SE, always use the same version that Altera provides as Modelsim-ASE. I have had experiences where the different versions are not compatible, eg., dual-ported RAM did not work correctly.
