Jtagd segfault on linux

Hi,

I have Quartus 12.1sp1 setup and working with my hardware on Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit. However, the same configs on a 64-bit machine (which unfortunately I need to use) cause jtagd to segfault when jtagconfig is run.

I installed the 64-bit Quartus binaries from the install package, and I'm able to run the cli tools seemingly without issue. However when I run anything that talks to jtagd, it just dies.

My post had lots of debugging info, but the forum thinks there are links in it and won't let me post it, so I had to paste it here: http colon slash slash paste dot ubuntu dot com /5649914/

Any idea what the issue is? I've googled quite a bit and found lots of people using Quartus on 64bit Ubuntu just fine.

Thanks!

Figured it out - turns out there are a bunch of environment settings not mentioned anywhere that are required. See linux/jtagd, which is a shell script that wraps linux64/jtagd.
