Internal Error: Sub-system: SGN

I am consistently getting

Internal Error: Sub-system: SGN, File: /quartus/synth/sgn/sgn_utility.cpp, Line: 5059

Cannot get member name, see debug messages

Quartus II Version 9.1 Build 222 10/21/2009 SJ Web Edition

Other than telling me that Quartus is written in C++ this is pretty muchy NFG.

I got this in the original design then decided to start over. Now I'm getting it again.

Is there a solution to this?

It was reported to support but they support only corporate empleyees.

    I found the cause myself. The bug arises when you give a symbol and bus (node too?) the same name. It is reproducable.

    I did provoke some other bugs one of which was fatal but can not longer reproduce. Altera support ignores non-corporate users so they were not reported. Pity.
