Installation Problem in Quartus ii 9.1 SP2

I tried to install Quartus ii 9.1 sp2 on windows XP machine, SP3, NTFS partion drive

(14GB Free space), 2GB RAM .

On installation, files are extract to specified location on drive successfully, But an error

comes

"Quartus ii 9.1 is not installed on this machine. The Patch setup will exit now."

I follow the steps which are :

1) Remove previous version of Quartus ii (Version 7.2) which was install on PC.

2) Install Quartus ii 9.1 . This version is work fine.

3) Now without removing 9.1, Install Quartus ii 9.1 SP2 ,but it shows the Error which is

shown above.

    What quartus II 9.1 edition were you installed? Is it web edition or subscription edition? Can you check it (helpàabout quartus II) in quartus II main window? To successfully install the Quartus II 9.1 sp2 patch, you should have quartus II 9.1 subscription edition installed on your PC.

    Besides, do you point to correct Quartus II 9.1 directory while upgrading to quartus II 9.1sp2? If quartus II 9.1 is available in that path, then I suspect your quartus II 9.1 software might be corrupted. In fact, I faced the exactly similar issue previously.

    By uninstalling the QII 9.1 & reinstall QII 9.1, I could successfuuly installing QII 9.1sp2.

    I have Quartus ii 9.1 Web edition.

    & then i download 91sp2_quartus_windows.exe from altera web site.(I don,'t know it is web or subscription edition?)

    Is there any web & subscription edition of Quartus ii 9.1 SP2 is available?

    what is the difference between web & subscription edition from performance & features point of view ?

    You've installed QII9.1sp2 for QII9.1subscription edition. You should download 91sp2_quartus_free.exe (https://www.altera.com/download/software/quartus-ii-we/9.1?gsa_pos=2&wt.oss_r=1&wt.oss=quartus%20ii%209.1sp2%20web%20edition%20download). For subscription edition, you can download here (https://www.altera.com/download/software/quartus-ii-se/9.1).

    QII 9.1 web edition is free but users need to pay for QII 9.1 subscription edition. Pls check with this document for the different between QII web & subcription edition (http://www.altera.com/literature/po/ss_quartussevswe.pdf).

    Thanks for your quick response......

    i successfully installed quartus ii 9.1 subscription edition & it is work fine then,

    i download quartus ii 9.1 sp2 subscription edition from the link you given ,

    it installed successfully & work fine.

    Also the LINK for different between QII web & subcription edition is for quartus ii 10 edition.

    Is there any document which have difference for quartus ii 9.1 web & subscrition edition ?
