Impossible to select the product 5CEFA9F23C8N with Quartus II to evaluate BeMicro CV

Hello,

I want to evaluate the BeMicro CV A9 card equipped with the FPGA cyclone V: 5CEFA9F23C8N.

I installed on my computer the Quartus II 64-bit Version 13.0.1 Build 232 06 12 2013 SJ Web Edition.

When I want to create a new project I cannot find the product: 5CEFA9F23C8N.

The last similar product in the list is: 5CEFA7U19I7.

What can I do?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Jerome

I believe that the Cyclone V was pretty new as of the quartus 13 release; I have been working with the smaller BMCV board using releases 14 through 15.1 without an issue.

I only have 15.1.1 (standard) installed now, but that definitely shows the 5CEFA9F23C8 on the list.

I have come BMCV A9's but haven't done anything with them yet. Maybe there are example projects that support them, that is usually a good way to make sure the pin assignments are correct and such.

It is supported in the 15.1 lite (free/web) edition as well.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I want to begin with an example for which the design was completed using Quartus II v15.0.2 Build 153, Full Version.

When I want to download the Quartus II software I always download the Quartus Prime software.

What is the difference between Quartus II and Quartus Prime?

When I install the Quartus Prime software v15.0.1 I can select the product 5CEFA9F23C8N.

    Kind regards

Starting with version 15, they changed the names a bit and reworked the user interface. As far as I know Quartus lite is the free/web version, prime is the paid version, and pro is the version for the 10 series chips.
