I'd like to use the FIR II IP in a client's product using a Cyclone IV. Do I need a license? I am confused on this.
Hi.
I am looking at putting a FIR II block inside a client's product.
Do I need a license for this?
I am confused, as I see no indication that I need one. I can generate sof's and rbf's just fine. There is no indication of time limits.
I am using the Lite version of Quartus.
Thanks,
Chris.
Hi Chris,
Yes, we required a license.
Check the Quartus log messages for a warning on the license or Evaluation Mode.
During Intel FPGA IP Evaluation Mode, the Compiler only generates a time-limited device programming file (_time_limited.sof).
The IP Base Suite is also installed with the Intel Quartus Prime Lite Edition Software. Full licenses to this suite are purchased separately. Contact your local sales representative to learn more.
