Thanks for your suggestion.
Unfortunately, the only interface that our customer have is JTAG. So using UART communication means a significant redesign is required, thus we don't prefer.
My further question is:
- Is the EKP which stored in ICB secure? I see that there's not possible to retrieve the key via JTAG programmer.
- Is it also protected from being read? I suppose that the EKP is stored in an unencrypted manner in the ICB.
- I see that based on this document https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/documentation/bhc1410500804155.html#bhc1410500737675 in the part of Non-Volatile and Volatile Key Storage, the possibility to program an OTP hardware key (for 20nm FPGAs) is mentioned. Is this the case also for MAX 10 devices? I use 10M04SCM153C8G to be specific.
