How to install QSYS?

Altera Complete Design Suite Release 10.0, Free/Web version.

Sorry for what must be a very inane question, but none of the tutorials I have found on Qsys mention how to add it to Quartus II; they just assume that is already there. However, I cannot see it. I do see something called SOPC builder though. Is that some sort of replacement version?

    To my knowledge, Quartus II Release 10.0 does not have Qsys (invented later).

    The closest you can get with this old release is the SOPC Builder which was the Qsys predecessor. Otherwise, you need to upgrade.

    That makes sense. I think my mistake was using the software that came bundled with my system rather than downloading the newest version. Thanks for your help!
