Generating PrimeTime support files

Whenever I've tried to generate a netlist for use with PrimeTime, the EDA Netlist Writer produces an error:

error: can't generate files for primetime eda tool since timequest timing analyzer is selected as the timing analysis tool for the current device family

Is this because the current device is a Stratix, and not Stratix II or Stratix III? The databook doesn't indicate that this process is device-dependent, so I'm wondering if I don't have Quartus II setup properly?

    Hello,

I understand from the manual, that PrimeTime support should be available with TimeQuest:

    --- Quote Start ---

The Quartus II software uses the EDA Netlist Writer to generate PrimeTime files based on either the Quartus II Classic Timing Analyzer or the Quartus II TimeQuest Timing Analyzer static timing analysis results.

    --- Quote End ---

There is no remark on special setting necessary or other restrictions, e. g. with Stratix II, the setting is working. But there seems to be bug as you say: No PrimeTime support with Stratix and TimeQuest. Altera support should know.

    Regards,

    Frank

The version of Quartus II that I'm using is 7.2. I can't find anything wrong with the setup of the tool, so I'm at a lost as to why this is happening. If this is a bug, how to I report it to Altera?
