Edit IP Components in Quartus 16.0

Question about edit "IP Components" in Quartus 16.0 -

Want to edit the previous entered the IP components. But the "Edit in Parameter Editor" is grayed out -

1. May I have to close then re-open the Quartus 16.0 in order to do it?

2. Any other way to edit the IP components?

Please advise.

    I think that components can only be edited in the version that they were created in. They can then be imported into other projects, or re-created in a newer version.

    You should have an option to "Upgrade IP Components..." under the "Project" menu. This will only work for IP components that remain supported in Q16 - components do get dropped. Following a successful upgrade I'd hope you're able to edit the component.
