DE1 / Cyclone II with Quartus II (v15)?

Question

Hello everyone!

I just dug out a DE1* board I used for some projects during college, hoping to use it for an upcoming DIY project. Downloaded and Installed the latest Quartus II software, only to find there's no mention of the older Cyclone 2 devices.

So - how do I add device support for Cyclone-2 in Quartus?

Cyclone II is not supported by the latest version of the tools.

Goto Altera's download center (https://www.altera.com/downloads/download-center.html). Click on the 'Select by Device' tab, select Cyclone II and it'll point you at the version you need. Looks like you need Quartus 13.0 sp1.

Awesome! Couldn't locate that page earlier. For some reason all /searches for/ DE1 keep going to the (newer) DE1-SOC. Thanks, Cris72 and Alex.
