CycloneII device choice with Quartus Web

Under "New project Wizard" with Quartus 11 Web Edition (Windows), i can choose only the device Family (For example CycloneII). The list of specific device is always empty for all the CPLD and FPGA famlily.

But i installed the full package of Quartus II Download Web edition.

Is there a problem with my installation?

It it possible to create a SOF programming file from VHDL without indicating the specific device ?? (Ie indicating only Cyclone II family)

    no, you can't create a .sof without selecting a device. you'll have to make sure you've installed the device families, it sounds like your installation may have gone wrong

    I have the same problem. Tried almost everything and couldn't resolve it, next thing is "format C" :(

    have you gone through the registry and deleted things related to Altera/Quartus/etc?
