Cannot see Quartus Prime 17.0 SE GUI in Arch Linux with i3wm - but works in Gnome

Hi all,

As the title suggests, when launching Quartus Prime in Arch Linux, I'm unable to see the GUI, yet the buttons do work if I click in the right location.

As it works in the Gnome DE, I was wondering if there are any dependencies that Gnome launches by default that I'm unaware of? I'd really like to use i3, without the bloat of Gnome. I'm running on a VM.
