cannot install device files for quartus 10.1

Hi,

I am trying to install Quartus 10.1 with device family files on Ubuntu 9.10. Every time I install Quartus (no matter which path i take, using the web installer, or just download Quartus and device files separately to install with terminal), Quartus itself installs properly but when it gets to the part of installing device family files, it just suddenly jumps to 100% and finishes installing, even though none of the device families are installed. When I launch Quartus, no device families can be found. Does anyone know how to solve this??? Any help is appreciated!!
