Any update for Jam Byte-code player?

Altera provide Jam STAPL Byte-Code Player V2.2 in webside, what kind of download cable does it support? It seems that it doesn't support USB-Blaster. What is the difference between quartus_jli and Byte-Code Player?

I did not find higher version player. Did Altera have any update for this player? How can I get it?
